  If feminism was about equality it would be called egalitarianism. Feminism, by definition, is putting females first.

I think they can, and are, but are often hesitant to use the word. Sometimes because they just don’t identify with it, and sometimes because I’ve heard some men say that they feel as if they’re claiming a word they’re not entitled to.
