Yep. She can wear what she likes. I don’t wear heels because they make my feet hurt and I’m sick of it. But I don’t begrudge anyone else!

I can and I do! I completely understand the arguments against and underlying implications of wearing heels but as a lady with one of them brains and that, I can also appreciate the aesthetics of shoes, the way they allow me to express my personality and creativity through the way I choose to clothe my body. Ultimately, it’s all about choice. I choose when to wear heels and when not to. I am the one in control of how my body is communicated to everyone else.

Of course, the point of feminism is that women should be able to do
whatever they want, wear high heels or trainers. Stay at home to raise a
kid, go into full time work, or travel the world! As long as it’s what
she wants to do, a women, feminist or no, should do what she
wants.

I certainly do.

I like to think that being a feminist means that I make decisions for myself in the context of our society. I know how heels are interpreted by some, but fundamentally having weighed up the issues, I make a choice – and sometimes I choose to wear them. Sometimes I choose not to because I can’t be bothered and flat boots are more comfy and suit my mood.
