Silver Action – The Conversation Continues
The Clore Ballroom at Royal Festival Hall
On 3rd February 2013, hundreds of women aged 60 or over met in the Tate Talks to talk about women, aging and activism as part of artist Suzanne Lacy’s new participatory artwork, ‘Silver Action’.
Most the women have taken part in significant activist movements and protests from the 1950s to 80s and were invited to share their personal stories in a series of workshops, culminating in this day-long public performance.
These women joined Suzanne Lacy once again at WOW for a tea and cake debrief on this action, and determined a year-long project that will include women across the UK.
